Keith Allen is Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He focuses on Criminal Defense with an office conveniently located in Pearland, Texas where Brazoria County, Harris County, Fort Bend County and Galveston County all meet. Keith has personally handled thousands of criminal cases and has extensive trial experience. He has handled many cases involving offenses such as Driving While Intoxicated, Manslaughter, Murder, Assault, Drugs, Weapons, Theft, Forgery, Trespass, Burglary, Robbery, Arson, Criminal Mischief, Fraud, Credit Card Abuse, Evading & Resisting Arrest, Attempt, Conspiracy, Solici-
tation and Organized Crime. He has tried numerous cases in State District Courts, County Courts and Justice of the Peace Courts. His experience includes all phases of criminal law including jury trials, court trials, probation revocations, appeals, pre-trial hearings, arraignments, grand jury proceedings, bond reductions, plea negotiations, and case evaluations.
Keith attended the University of Texas at Austin and received a bachelor degree in 1989. He then graduated from Law School at the University of Houston and was admitted to practice law on May 1, 1992 by the Supreme Court of Texas. After law school, Keith started his career in criminal law at the Liberty County Attorney’s Office and then moved to the Brazoria County Criminal District Attorney’s Office in 1995. While at the District Attorney’s Office, he rose to the position of First Assistant District Attorney. First Assistant is the highest job in the District Attorney’s Office except for the publicly elected position of District Attorney. While there, Keith gained extensive experience in criminal law and was responsible for a staff of more than 50 employees. After gaining years of experience, meeting the strict qualifications and passing a rigorous exam, Keith was then awarded a Certificate of Special Competence in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Since then, Keith has gone into Private Practice where he continues to serve and represent the people of Texas in criminal law matters.
